ASHLEE BREEZES BY THE RUMORS

Is she preggers or isn't she?!  And where is that engagement ring of hers?!?  We spotted hot topic Ashlee Simpson her mom Tina arriving at JFK airport in New York yesterday with.  Ashlee told our photographers that her ring, given to her by boyfriend Pete Wentz, was being sized.  Someone from Ashlee's camp dropped a bomb yesterday that Ash was pregnant with Pete's baby, but later in the day Pete released a statement saying the rumors were false. "This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover ... I mean really, this is crazy ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."
Publicity stunt from Ashlee's peeps or just trying to cover up a secret?  I wouldn't be surprised either way.
