Cuz it's upfront. Yesterday MTV hosted its "upfronts"; the process a network undergoes to showcase it's best and brightest with the hope of gaining big bucks from advertisers. Everyone from Justin Timberlake to Lauren Conrad, Ashanti to Stephen Colbert were on hand at the MTV studios to preview what they have in store for the fall, such as 19 new episodes of The Hills!
TEQUILA MAKES CELEBS HORNITOS

Since yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, the day Mexican army was victorious over the French in 1862, it was only fitting that young Hollywood come out and get sloppy with some tequila! Benji and Joel Madden hosted/spun at the Hornitos' Cinco De Mayo Party held at club Crown in Los Angeles last evening and everyone from Paris to LiLo to Lauren Conrad were there; actually, that was about everyone. Lauren and Lo looked particularly sloppy and Lindsay, well....rumor is that she was trying to cozy up to Joel, despite having her weird non-girlfriend Samantha Ronson by her side. Points for Paris, btw, for sitting in the passengers seat! All in all it basically looked exactly as a tequila-fueled rager should.
STARS PAINT THE TOWN SCARLET

All of the MTV favorites, plus Lindsay Lohan (cuz she'll do whatever these days) came out for the premiere of Scarlet. Scarlet is not a new movie and it's not a new tv show, but rather a new line of HD and LCD televisions by LG Electronics. Oh well, anything to walk the red carpet, right?

The 94th annual White House Correspondents Dinner took place over the weekend and everyone from Ashlee Simpson to Pam Anderson were on hand to bring politics and the media together in one, weird mash up. Presided over by President Bush and hosted by Craig Ferguson, our favorites from The Hills, Heidi, Spencer and Lauren all showed as well as The Jonas Brothers (who were totally the most popular guests) and Gossip boy Ed Westwick and The Soup host, Joel McHale. Dubyah Bush and Spencer Pratt in the same room? The world may be coming to an end...
CELEBS ABSOLUT-LY LOVE KANYE

Kanye West's "Glow in the Dark" tour is selling out and drawing rave reviews from critics. The darling of hip hop has also had no problem attracting celebrities to his shows. Rihanna, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have all come out to see Kanye and last night even more famous friends showed up for the "Glow in the Dark Tour 2008 Ignitied by Absolut 100" after party at GOA. Lauren Conrad repped for The Hills and Brody Jenner was reppin' for the streetz in his sweet Public Enemy tee (Malibu is RUFF!). Also in attendance were Kim

US Weekly threw their annual fashion bash last night and it's no surprise that The Hills and Heidi Klum were among its honorees. They were a good looking lot, no doubt, but it boggles my mind to see Niky Hilton or Aubrey O'Day (yuck) of Danity Kane there, they just don't measure up. Brody Jenner was looking casual but sexy (as always) and rapper Eve was glowing in chartreuse. And representing for the 40 and over crowd was Lisa Rinna and hubby Harry Hamlin.

It is not a good week for the celebs; they're racking up traffic violations left and right! We spotted Lauren running to her car after discovering she got a parking ticket. I'm guessing that's not the way she wanted to accessorize her Benz.

Lauren! I was just thinking about you! I was brushing up on my Hills episodes from the past couple of weeks in preparation for the new one tonight (don't want to forget any of the important details!). Lauren was spotted with boxes and bags as she was leaving her West Hollywood home this afternoon; I'm guessing they're probably some gifts for her favorite blogger, right?
THE HILLS ARE ALIVE AND WELL

The ladies of The Hills were in streets of the Big Apple last evening to premiere the new season. Clearly the girls aren't used to the east coast weather and looked pretty chilly in their frocks as they tried to stay bundled. The premiere basically played out as the previews showed; Lauren and Whitney attend the ball in Paris, there's wardrobe malfunctions, Heidi and Spencer fight and Brody is scum. As predictable as it may be I still plan to watch every epie and after show of course. Speaking of after the show, Lauren and Whitney made their way over to the exclusive Beatrice Inn for a little recap and nightcap.
LAUREN RUNS CHLOE'S ERRANDS

We spotted Lauren Conrad at her local Pet Co over the weekend. L.C. was picking up a doggy crate for her new pup, Chloe. I'm surprised that Chloe doesn't have some sort of Marc Jacobs carrier!
